Arguably the Dunk with the craziest story, the Nike SB Dunk Low Strawberry Cough was originally planned to release as a 420 exclusive sneaker back in 2020. However, the launch was pushed back indefinitely. The coughing heart at the lateral heel was intended as a nod to marijuana culture, but the timing of this design became unfortunate with the onset of the pandemic in early 2020.

After disappearing from the limelight for a while, the sneaker finally released in October 2021, and the hype remained unchanged, validating the sneaker's impressive design. The Strawberry Cough features a striking combination of red and green on the upper, extending toward the midsole—an unusual palette for sneakers. Fluffy green suede at the rear clearly references weed culture and flows over the red front, complemented by a green Swoosh.
